Lacey, sheery and jeweled

Sheer and lacy dresses were used in cocktail  and social parties before but now they can be a part of our everyday get up. Sheers, laces and stones are utilized in formal occasions before, now there are a few twists to make it casual and simple.

A laced dress is very feminine and once you pair it with oxfords, it will be difficult to make it work but in the photo below, you can observe that the jeweled detail in the footwear rocks! This is a classical vintage look that you can sport while strolling the mall or just meet up with friends somewhere.

Speaking of Jeweled footwear, I spotted a dazzling pair of jeweled bollywood inspired thongs. They really look great with cute nail art :) Going back to the jeweled pair, the gold thongs were studded with metallic beads and stones. It makes you feel like you're an arabic or Indian princess. When I first tried them on , it makes your feet look all glamed up! It is a great accessory that could jive with simple pieces or any plain outfit. The image below is an example of simple pieces paired with the studded thongs.

BLUEMY SEASON

It is my very nature to love summer because of the colorful dresses and it's flirty designs. Pardon me if my creations are out of season because it's my HANGOVER OF THE SUMMER SEASON!

You might wonder why I called it BLUEMY SEASON. The months July-October are expected to be gloomy, rainy and cold. I couldn't accept that fact that is why i made summer dresses in Hues of BLUE .. from GLOO to BLUE so I called it BLUEMY SEASON

My first Bluemy season Dress A mullet acid wash cape dress. It gives a maxi dress look at the back with a cocktail- like look in the front .

This is a plus size dress that highlights the legs. Wearing the dress gives you a Goddess like look. Pair it with high wedges and the look is perfect.

My second Bluemy season Dress It is a tulip tube dress made of printed Georgette. The color Orange and Blue makes it vibrant enough. The tulip hemline emphasizes the inner thighs.

My third Bluemy dress is specially made for my sister.

The dress is color blocked with yellow and blue. A strappy ribbon collar was added as an accent to make it prettier and chic. The hemline is asymmetrical giving it a mullet cut.

Addiction to mullet skirts

What is in mullet skirts that inspires me to make my own? I have been searching for dress design ideas for me to be inspired in making my own DIY creations but mullet skirts keep me looking for other designs aside from tube top and spaghetti straps. I have been searching for maxi dresses before but i look small in it. Sky scraper heels are needed to accentuate the dress. I cant afford to look very small since I'm almost obese lol. That is the reason why I am amazed with mullet dresses, it is because of it's high low hemline. It might confuse you at the back part because it makes you look like wearing a maxi dress but in the front figure it seems that you are wearing a cocktail dress. It flaunts the legs especially the thigh area. ladies need to watch for the length of their maxi dresses. Make sure the high and low length suits your body type, makes you look taller and flaunt your flawless legs. The flowy type gives you a Godess fashion statement. Don't you just love looking gorgeous in small and grand dress details.?I prefer simple and sheer ones then you accesorize it with chandelier earrings and godess shoes Oh Mama! It looks great!

On my 25th birthday I decided to wear an animal print spaghetti strap mullet dress from forever 21 then I paired it with my Guess peep toe sandals and black snake skin patterned Celine Bag. I am fat! that is why I have to pair it with a shrugged pink blazer. Curled my hair a little bit and then donned some make up just to look great on my special day.

Honestly, I was not satisfied with the length of the skirt, Yes I know I'm small and I should have repaired its length but i had no luxury of time. I can keep this dress for conservative places LOL, like the university or government institutions that I have to make transactions with. I guess I really have to make my own. I will be posting the next project that I have made. Wish me luck ! I will post it soon.

I just wanna share a fashion milestone in my life. Till the next fashion adventure fashionistas!.

Why I love Gossip Girl :)

My two favorite Fashion Icons Blair Waldorf and Serena Van Der Woodsen in the series GG has been showcasing different styles in different seasons and moods. How I love Blair's Queen B style, romantic and classy while Serena is sexy and wild with a touch of elegance. Here are a few of their get ups that i really love;
Serena's key hole Maxi dress was one of my favorite sexy dresses that she wore.

Blair on her pink haltered dress on the Wedding of Lily van der Woodsen
How I love the blissful florals that Blair is wearing on her biking date

The best friends wearing yellow in their own style. Blair is wearing a printed dress and Serena paired her yellow top with black shorts.

I fell in love with this floral dress the first time I saw it. I made my own version of this dress and that what I wore on my 24th birthday :)

This is an example of how 2 different floral prints could go well together. And ohh that umbrella. :) Very fashionable!

Another example of 2 big floral prints that looks good when combined in a look . Gorgeous Blair!

Serena's Gray maxi dress is the first maxi dress that I appreciated. I used to dislike maxi dresses because it isn't suitable for my body built but I saw how this dress can make you look like a Goddess.

Bold Print Ruffled Pencil Skirt Dress; My Last Summer Project

My Last Project for this Summer

This used to be my old grand mother's straight figured Maxi dress. I tried to put it on and I looked like a tank with my full figure. I decided to make a tailored dress out of it and Voila! It is a peplum mini pencil skirt dress. Initially, i loved it because of the bold prints and its floral plus the color blocking. It really fits the summer season. I could pair it with sexy heels or wedges depending on the occasion to that I would use this.  Hope It looks good somehow. I know I'm a frustrated fashion designer at least. allow me to put my imaginations into reality :)

My Previous Creations for 2010-2012

These were my first experiments on redesigning clothes :) Some were heirlooms. They are over vintage designed dresses that could be reinvented to have a new look. Here are some of my reinvented clothes.

 2011 summer reiventions

I reinvented a gawky floral shorts and turned it into a poncho like top

 2011 summer reinvention

This used to be a checkered dress. Unfortunately, the dress doesn't fit me so my alternative was to make it into a blouse. I had to add ruffled details for the blouse to fit my chest area LOL and distract the plain checkered design since it looks too tight.

 2011 post summer reinvention

Blair Waldorf's dress inspired me to this reinvented vintage dress of my granny. I cut the hemlines short and eventually, it looked like a hi low dress. It is a simple sleeveless floral dress. I used this on my 24th birthday.

 2012 summer reinvention

Another vintage dress from granny which didn't fit my large scultpure. I had to reinvent it in preparation for my sister's birthday.I'm happy that it turned out wearable and hides some flabs :)
This is a reinvented dress from gawky floral shorts. It has a bubble hemline and a tube dress. This was one of my 2011 summer reinvention
This was an A -line pinstripe boring skirt then I transformed it into a pleated tulip skirt - Summer 2011

This has been my creation last 2010, It is a color blocked tube dress with mullet skirt. I love this dress because it is well constructed, A very basic dress that you can pair with formal ensembles or casual. Very versatile - 2010

My  polkadot haltered challeco which i could pair it with jeans, skirt and other plain clothes. 2011

\Green ruffled dress for corporate or casual wear. I combined old skirt peices witha sleeveless top and added ruffles for a more chic look. -2011
