CURVY STATEMENT - Cut it out!

This is a very late post of my designed and redesigned dresses. Summer is my favorite season of the year. If it is possible to have a country with one season in a year which is summer. I should have lived there.  From summer to the rainy season, I have been craving to make some dresses that I have designed but since my baby Singer needs repair, I was only able to make dresses by June and finished it all by July. Due to the heavy rains another problem is to take a decent photo but finally, I was able to finish everything. My theme for this collection is cut out designs.

WHY?

I just found it interesting, challenging , stylish and sexy at the same time. Revealing dressess are not my type but I wanted to flaunt or bare some skin and look gorgeous at the same time. I just wanna keep it simple and classy.

The photos below would showcase 1 cut out top and 4 dresses:

Black and White Cut Out Top

This is a redesigned over sized top. I decided to cut out and design the chest and arm area. It's almost a heart shaped cut out from the check to the neck and at the arm is just a simple oblong cut out.

Animal Print Cut Out Shirt Dress

This is an over sized sweat shirt but I really like the print so I decided to reinvent this into a dress that I can pair with flats and heels. The cut out design is in the neckline area. I trimmed the polo that was attached in the cotton sweat shirt and revised a cutout design at the side of the arms.

 Lacy Ribbon Back Skater Dress

I designed this dress wondering whose wedding should I use it to.. Well it should have been Kathleen's but I was not able to go. Laces were trending since last year but I just tried making my own and it's a color white dress. I know it would make me look larger but I like white dresses since it looks neat . It's a ribbon Back dress because of the cut out at the back area and there is a ribbon in the middle where the straps of the dress are connected.

Floral Double Layered Pleated Dress

Floral dresses have been my favorite for years now but this one is quite unique form the others. This is a redesigned vintage dress. The Lacy design in the neck area is the most attractive accessory in this dress that is why I removed the long sleeve of the dress then sewed a tube that was connected to it. At the back is just a sleeveless design of the top. Actually, this is a maxi dress but since I like above the knee hem lengths I turned it into a double layered skirt since I do not like to waste the excess cloth. The prints are too cute!

Ribbon Cut Out Mullet Dress

I've been so glued to high low dresses just forgive me on this one. I love the flowy feel of the cloth. This was a long dress with a long sleeve. I really couldn't pull off a long dress so I decided to make a mullet again. The sleeves of the dress were really long and I know I would not be comfortable wearing it in a sunny weather so I planned to cut it off and reshape it like a teardrop sleeve. The cut out design was in the neck area. Without the cut out design this dress would be so plain and boring. So far, this was my favorite I just don't know when to wear this dress. It looks a bit semi formal.

Viva Plus size girls! we should have the freedom to express ourselves and let no one prohibit us from being happy and comfortable with our curves. I would appreciate opinions and comments.
